I… may have bitten off more than I can chew this month! After the nightmare that was March, and my desperate need to catch up last month, I could have done with a slightly quieter May, book wise, but between my lack of self control and publisher book mail, it hasn’t quite worked out that way. I did manage to get through 9 books so far in April, & I’m hoping to get another 2-3 read before the end of the month, so I’m not as backlogged as I was, but this months 11 books might just take me over the edge… wish me luck!
Quite a few romance books on this months TBR and I am loving it! Ana Maria and the Fox was added to my TBR thanks to Julie over at One Book More, and I can’t wait to read it. Faking it was a NG request, but who doesn’t love a ‘fake relationship that comes with real feelings’ kinda read. Do I need to say anything about Love Theoretically, fake dating, older brothers best friend… I am here for it!
I’ve heard mixed review for The First Bright Thing, but It still sounds like my cup of tea and I’m excited to start it. Gods of the Wyrd Wood will be my first read from Barker. NGL, I was initially drawn in by the cover, and then I read the premise and it became an instant request. Shanghai Immortal ‘teems with Chinese deities and demons cavorting in jazz age Shanghai’… so pretty much an insta add to my TBR. Fourth Wing was a last minute add to my TBR thanks to a last minute NG acceptance, but I’ve heard so many good things about it.
I’m on the BBNYA tour for Sunbolt. I did read it during the competition, but will definitely need a re-read to get my thoughts together for a review. Demons Reign isn’t a blog tour, but the author did send me a copy over for review. It’s giving me Rage of Dragons vibes and I can’t wait to start it.
Susan and I will be buddy reading Playing it Safe this month. We’ve read and loved the series so far, so I can’t wait to follow Ellie on her latest adventure. Jordyn and I will also be buddy reading Perilous Times and I’m so happy she asked because it’s a chunk, and buddy reads always help me get my thoughts together for my reviews!

Yay! I hope you enjoy Ana Maria and the Fox! Definitely a unique one. And I have an arc of Love Theoretically too. Hopefully, we both love it. Fourth Wing sounds really good too. I’ve heard a lot of people raving about it lately.

Hahaha thanks! It was more a ‘if I post it now I theoretically can’t add any more books to it’ kinda post lol. They are tough to get, but I’ve learnt if you leave it a few days instead of requesting when it first goes up, you’re more likely to get approved 😀
