Susan and I are buddy reading this and we both seem to be enjoying it so far. It has an incredibly atmospheric writing style and all of the characters leap off the pages. I’m still not sure where the story is going, but we’ve just reached a pretty pivotal part in the plot and I’m seriously struggling to put it down.

I’ve loved Lam’s writing for a while now, but there was something about this that was just a little seductive. It’s such a brilliant story, set in a well built world and the enemies to lovers romance was wondrously slow burn and just *chefs kiss.* It also ended on one killer cliffhanger and I need book two already.

The lovely people over at Black Crow PR have sent me a copy of this and I will be posting my review during their blog tour. I’ve heard some mixed reviews for this, but it sounds like my kinda thing and I’m looking forward to picking it up.
