Susan, Leah and I are currently buddy reading Dark Rise and we are having a ball. There haven’t been too many crazy theories yet, but we’re all loving the story and eager to read more. I’m also reading The Warden which isn’t quite what I expected but I’m really enjoying it. Both these have a kind of old fashioned fantasy feel and I’m loving both atm.
The romance in The Plus One fell a tiny bit flat for me. It was a little too quick and not enough enemies to lovers for my liking, however, the author showcases and deals with trauma in this book expertly and I adored the scenes where we get to see the characters exploring it.
I have both of these coming up but I’m not sure which I’m going to pick up first! Have you read either of these? Would you recommend either? Let me know in the comments.

I’ve heard lots about the Captive Prince series, and am definitely loving Dark Rise so far, so might have to check them out 😀

What a bummer about The Plus One. Not enough enemies to lovers, how could they?! lol. I hope you enjoy Silver in the Bone! It was definitely an interesting read but lacked some world-building. I do want to read the sequel though!

Hahaha I know! Might be me nitpicking more than anything else. I have heard mixed reviews about Silver in the Bone, so I’m going in with lower expectations which hopefully means I’ll enjoy it 😀
