Leah and I are around 25% into our buddy read of The Golem and the Jinni. I’m definitely intrigued, but the story is meandering a little for me atm with a few too many perspectives being included. I also DNf’d two arc’s this week, so I decided to go back to an old favourite and pick up the next book in the Time Police series.
Best book of the year so far! And tbh it’s going to take something special to knock it off the top spot. Amina and her crew absolutely owned my heart and it’s full of snark, adventure and has multiple MC’s who would be classed as part their prime. My full review is up tomorrow, so make sure you check that out if you want to read my gushing thoughts.
I’ve just been approved for The Bone Shard War on NG and this is going right to the top of my TBR. The series ha been amazing so far, and I can’t wait to read the final instalment. I also need to pick up The Bandit Queens. I’ve read some really great reviews for this one, so I’m excited to give it a read.

Oh gosh… that’s a bummer when you have to DNF arcs and two in a row?? Sorry!! I am so excited for Bone Shard War!! I am planning on picking it up next month sometime. I hope it’s an amazing end!

Thanks! I’m not sure if it was me, or the books tbh, but I can’t see myself enjoying them even if I picked up later. I know Bone Shard War is going to break me in some way, but I can’t wait to start it lol

The Golem and the Jinni has been on my tbr forever. I need to get to it. Andddd I need to stop procrastinating on The Bone Shard Emperor because I loved the first book. And now the last one is coming out!

I’m hearing so many wonderful things about The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi, and am very much looking forward to reading it myself.

There’s definitely a lot of hype around this book, but I also already know that I love Chakraborty’s writing, so that makes me even more excited.
