It’s chunk time! I’m 11% into this book and still have over 11 hours reading time left according to my kindle! It’s a slow starter, similar to Priory, so I’m just getting my head around the characters etc atm, but it’s definitely getting it’s hooks in me.
I really enjoyed this book, but I can see it being a little niche. It’s very descriptive and prosaic, with stories within stories, but the characters and mystery were great and I loved the themes and just general creepiness it exuded.
I am so excited to start this one next. I loved Whitten’s previous duology, I liked the second book much more, but am really excited to get stuck into this one.

I really want to read A Day of Fallen Night. The title and the cover are both amazing and I loved the Priory.

The Shannon cover is amazing. I still haven’t read Priory – a bit daunted by length – though really want to.

I was the same, and it did take me a minute to get into the story, but once I did I found it really easy to fly through the story 😀
