Hello hello & welcome to 2023! This is my first TBR for 2023 & I can safely say I am so excited for every single one of these books. December was a pretty great reading month for me and I managed to read 11 books, two of which were for BBNYA which I can finally talk about now! This month I’ve got a TBR of 9 books atm, most of which are February releases (go me on managing to stay a month ahead) as well as carrying on with my backlist buddy reads with Leah. Do you have any of these on your TBR for this month? Have you read them already? Let me know in the comments.

I’ve not seen many reviews for The Thorns Remain but it has a beautiful cover and fae, so was an instant add to my TBR. The Last Tale of the Flower Bride sounds lush and gothic and I cannot wait to get my teeth into it, plus I’m excited to read Chokshi’s first adult novel. The Whispering Muse with be my first book by Laura Purcell, but it sounds like the perfect place to start… what more could you want in winter than to read a gothic & atmospheric murder mystery?

Love Will Tear Us Apart is the third book in the Stranger Times series & I have serious high hopes for this considering how much I have loved the previous two books. A Day of Fallen Night is the chonkiest book on my TBR this month without a doubt, but I adored Priory and am 99% sure I’m going to love with one too. Song of Silver, Flame Like Night is one I haven’t seen much about, but I read a review from one of my lovely blogger friends and she’s definitely got me more excited to pick it up. Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Faeries sounds like it’s going to be the cozy fantasy read I need for these cold and rainy winter days. Plus I just got the most gorgeous special edition, so can’t wait to sit down and read it.

Susan and I have had to delay our buddy read for The City of Nightmares, but we’re hoping to pick it up this month! Leah and I are continuing our backlist buddy reads with Temeraire, a series that has been on my TBR for an age, and by one of my favourite authors!

I am SO Excited for Emily! Especially with how much you loved it. I hadn’t really heard of The Thorns Remain until it popped up on NG, but it sounded too good to pass up on 😀
