Monthly TBR – December 2022!

Hello, hello. I cannot believe I’m saying this but it’s December in 2 DAYS TIME! Where has this year gone. I am so incredibly behind on everything, and need to get on with making my ‘books of the year’ posts before the year is actually over. Last month I managed to read 11 books which included my usual ARC’s, buddy reads as well as one of my BBNYA reads for the year, and for December I’m planning on picking up 9 books! The majority of these ARC’s are Jan releases, but I’m aiming to get a month ahead with my arc’s this year so wish me luck. I also have a couple of buddy reads, as well as the final book in a series I have loved so far. What do your December TBR’s look like? Have any of the below made your list? Or have you read them already? Let me know in the comments.

Debut Epic fantasy for the win apparently. First up is Spice Road which I have read some rave reviews for, the cover is stunning and I can’t wait to start it. Godkiller is another one I have heard great things about, the premise sounds super intriguing and I am a little in love with that cover. The Daughters of Izdihar is epic, feminist AND filled with mythology so I am 100% sure I’m going to end up loving it.

I adored A River Enchanted, so I was so happy to get approved for an arc of A Fire Endless. The first book ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, so I can’t wait to see where the story goes next. If you know me, you know I love anything featuring folklore, so The Witch and the Tsar, which is steeped in Russian folklore is right up my street. Exes and O’s is my second book by Amy Lea and it sounds super fun and the perfect romance to break up all my heavy fantasy reads this month.

Time’s Orphan is the final book in the Odriel’s Heirs trilogy and I cannot wait to see what the author has in store for us. Each book can be read as a standalone, but characters from the previous books do make an appearance & I can’t wait to see if some of my faves turn up.

City of Nightmares sounds like it could be super creepy, so I am happy that Susan agreen to buddy read it with me. After reading The Rage of Dragons, Leah and I had a pretty easy decision as to what our buddy read for this month would be. The Fires of Vengeance looks epic and, if it’s anything like the first book, We’re going to love it.
