Susan and I had to have a slight break in our buddy read of Cursed, but we’re back at it and on the last 25% or so. The story certainly still has the same dark tone as the first, and I can’t wait to see how it ends. Leah and I are starting our backlist buddy read of The Rage of Dragons, and I think we’re both really excited to dive into this chunk!

I love Rebecca Roanhorse’s writing, and that didn’t change with Tread of Angels, I just desperately wish this would have been a full book because it felt a little rushed in parts, and lacked some character development. That being said, I did enjoy this, and adored the world that she built.

I decided to go with the Dark Academia read last week, so that means this time I get Vampires! I haven’t read a lot of reviews for this, but it sounds super intriguing and I can’t wait to start reading.
