Leah and I have finally started our buddy read of Goddess in the Machine. We’re about 25% through and both unsure how we feel about it so far, there’s also a ‘futuristic’ language throughout which has thrown us a little, but we’re looking forward to see where the story goes. I’ve also started The Atlas Paradox. I’m only around 10% in, but have easily fallen back into the Alexandrian society world and am loving re-connecting with all the characters.

This book was deliciously dark, but also hilarious in parts. Kitty is not a likeable character AT ALL, but you can’t help but reason with her actions, and in parts understand how she ended up on this path. It does seal with some heavy topics, trauma, rape, child abuse, murder on page, so you should definitely be way before going in.

Next up is Into the Riverlands. I read Siren Queen by Nghi Vo earlier this year and absolutely fell in love with their writing style, so am incredibly excited to start this one.
