I’m just under 50% though this book and so far it’s definitely intriguing me. The story flits from POV to POV quite regularly with one POV narrating the whole thing. It’s dark, gritty and definitely not for the faint of heart, but I’m really excited to see where its going.

Whilst reading I wasn’t 100% sure how I would feel about this book, but after finishing I think it’s safe to say I loved it. You might be a little disappointed if you enjoy books that deep dive into the characters, but He’s writing style and the way she structures this story absolutely make up for it. Also, after that ending I am dying to get my hands on book 2.

Susan and I are going to be starting our buddy read for House of Hunger soon, and I’m happy we’re going to be reading this together because it definitely sounds a little creepy. I’m also going to be picking up Princess of Souls, a dark Rapunzel retelling which sounds and looks amazing!
