Hello, hello! It’s October, the month of spookiness and I have some monstrous, witchy and creepy reads to get my through the month. I managed to complete my September TBR reading 11 books, and this month I have 10 reads I’m hoping to get too. None bookish news from last month… I spent some time working for the CWUHA, the charity I’m a trustee for. I post about it over on twitter, and you can check it out here. I’m hoping to have a chilled out October, and get through all these wonderful sounding reads. What do your Octobers look like reading wise? Are any of these on your TBR’s for this month? Let me know in the comments.

I’m super excited to start Princess of Souls. I’ve been a fan of Christo’s writing for a while & this Rapunzel retelling sounds amazing. Am I emotionally ready to dive into The Atlas Paradox… probably not, but I’m going to anyway. I’m hoping to get a better grasp of the magic system in this one, but want to make sure all my faves are ok. I haven’t read or seen much about The Second Death of Edie and Violet Bond, but the cover and premise certainly ensure I’m eager to pick this one up. I’m so hyped for Strike the Zither! You know me and mythology/folklore, plus I am in love with He’s writing style and this just sounds like it’s going to be one epic read.

Bring on the witchy romances! Hex Appeal, sounds like it’s going to be fun and I’ve read some really positive reviews, so excited to give this one a try. No Gods, No Monsters has been on my TBR forever, so extremely happy Titan are publishing it over here and that they sent me a shiny arc to read. I read Siren Queen by Nghi Vo earlier this year and instantly fell in love with her writing, so it was a no brainer to request Into the Riverlands on NG. This is the 3rd? Book in the series, but each can be read as a standalone so excited to give this one a read.

Susan and I are going to be buddy reading House of Hunger which sounds gothic and delicious. This will be my first Henderson book, but the premise/cover… basically everything about it scream I’m going to love it, so can’t wait to give this one a read. Leah and I have both been rubbish with our buddy reads recently, but that’s going to change. We’re finally going to be picking up The Goddess in the Machine and I can’t wait!

The lovely Nazia at UK Orbit sent me a stunning finished copy of Ithaca last month, and I’m hoping to get to read it in October. It’s feminist, filled with mythology and a retelling from the female perspective, so I’m pretty guaranteed to love it. Plus I’ve read nothing but positive things for it!

Enjoy your reads! You’ve got some on here that I really enjoyed and a couple that I’m super jealous about, but I’m definitely looking forward to our buddy read.
