WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over on Taking on a World of Words
The idea is pretty simple, every week you dedicate a post to the three W’s:
What are you currently reading?
What have you just finished reading?
What are you going to read next?

Susan and I have just started our buddy read of this. I’m only about 10% through so far, but have easily fallen back in love with this crazy bunch of morally grey characters. The first book was deliciously dark, and I’m hoping this will be the same.

I’m so upset because I just didn’t love this book. It almost read like multiple little stories in one big book, and although there is one object that links them all, it felt really disjointed. There were some pretty big pacing issues and I felt like the ending was a little too easy. But saying all that, I love Lim’s writing style, it’s incredibly fairytale-esque and, although this does read towards the lower end of YA, love the characters and world she creates.

I’m a little late to the party on this one thanks to my mahoosive TBR this month! I’ve heard lots of good things & I’m excited to give it a read.

Oooh, I really need to read All of Our Demise. As you said, the cast is so deliciously morally gray and I loved the first book! I just finished The Dragon’s Promise, too, and I had the same reaction and the same complaints as you, while still enjoying the book. Lim’s writing is just *chef’s kiss*. Hope you enjoy your reading this week!

The cast is definitely what makes All of Our Demise so special. I think a lot of people have had the same thoughts about Dragons Promise, which is a shame, but I will always loved Lim’s writing 😀
