I’m around 25% of the way through this and as much as I’m loving the mythology and magic system, I’m struggling to get into the characters. The authors writing style is a little different from what I’m used to and it’s taking me a while to fully get myself into the story. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it will pick up because I had such high hopes for this.
Susan and I both loved this just as much as the first one! The MC is so much fun and a woman ahead of her time and I love all the character interactions we get. These books are super quick, easy and fun reads & I can’t wait to see what Ellie gets up to in the next one.
I’m super excited to start this one. For the Wolf ended on an absolutely beaut of a twist and I’m eager to see where the author is going to take the characters in this sequel

For the Throne is one of my most anticipated reads this year! Now will I actually get to it? That remains to be seen.

I hope that The Final Strife improves as it’s on my list of books to read before the end of the month. I’m looking forward to For the Throne too.

Thank you! I think I’m just not enjoying the authors writing style so I might pause it & come back later. Fingers crossed we both love For the Throne 😀
