Susan and I had too pause our buddy read over the weekend, but we’re back and at around 60% through! I forgot how lovable these characters were an just how epic Shuttleworths World Building is. Safe to say I’m loving this more than book one and can’t wait to see how it ends. I’m also around 30% through This Vicious Grace and am loving it so far, the story and magic system are super cool and it has a stoic bodyguard romance arc which I am here for.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has a really cool magic system and is filled with some brilliant character dynamics and world building. It also ends on one epic cliffhanger that makes me happy I don’t have to wait too long for the next book.

Susan and I are still planning to jump right into our buddy read of The Key to Deceit, and I absolutely cannot wait to start it.
