Leah and I are currently buddy reading this & we both love it so far. Vo has taken Hollywood from the 20’s and added fae, monsters and bargains that make it feel creepy, while still seemingly realistic. I’m a little in love with the authors writing style & will definitely be checking out their backlist!

Ever wanted to read a fairy tale where, instead of trying to catch a Prince, the Princess is trying to kill one? I loved everything about this book, it was filled with quirky but relatable characters all of whom were over the age of 30! Brilliant world building an a fun fairy tale style magic system.

I’m really looking forward to picking this book up. The idea of our MC being born into a family of assassins, but being viciously allergic to all forms of violence and blood certainly sounds like it will make for an intriguing read.
