I’ve only just put down the book below, but this is up next on my TBR & I can’t wait to pick it up. This was one of my most anticipated reads for 2022 & after reading some truly raving reviews, I’m excited to get started.
I have really mixed feelings about this book. It had a really unique magic system, but I still don’t feel a fully understand it even after finishing. It deals with some heavy topics that are getting highlighted daily, and I loved how unique the story was a whole. I think it’s fair to say my review is going to be a little disjointed lol.
I’m just waiting for Susan to get her hands on a copy of this & then we will finally be starting our buddy read!

How are/did you like it?? I struggled until about 60%. I hope you liked it much better.

It was definitely a slow starter but I really enjoyed it!

I’m glad!! The last parts were really good but it just took too long to get there for me. It could have been my mood. lol

Haha no I totally get it. I think she took her time setting up the characters & the island etc, but it definitely could have been quicker
