I decided I needed a bit of a pallet cleanser after reading a lot of fantasy books recently & after reading some rave reviews about The Love Hypothesis decided to give it a go! It’s such a fantastic rom-com filled with some amazing tropes and I have absolutely blitzed through it (I’m at 65% when writing this but I’m 100% sure I will have finished it before this post goes live.) I’m also about to start A Wilder Magic which is a fantasy/romance that sounds really unique.
There was a lot that I loved about this book, and a lot that I didn’t. I felt the pacing was waaaay off, with the book starting pretty explosively then dying down dramatically until the last 80% or so. There were also a couple of badly placed plot twists that I think would have had a much bigger impact at a different part of the story. That being said I loved all the cultural details, and the magic sytem was incredibly well built and vivid to read.
Susan and I are buddy reading this Novella & I’m really excited to pick it up!

I LOVED it! It absolutely lives up to the hype and there was just so much humour and tension, and some steamier scenes. I would 100% recommend it 😀

I also finished Love Hypothesis pretty fast. It’s an entertaining and enjoyable read.

Yaaas, I’m SO happy to hear that you loved TLH! It was one of my favourite reads last year—just so much *squee*! 😍 I hadn’t heard of Comeuppance Served Cold but that cover is stunning so I’m defo gonna see what it’s about now. Happy reading!

Tbh it was yours and Leah’s reviews that initially made me pick it up & I am SO glad! I just adored it & may have gone straight to NG and requested her next book 🤦♀️😂. I love the cover for Comeuppance & it’s only a Novella so should be a nice quick read 😊

Omg, I love her covers SO much! The colours and the illustrations make me wanna pick them up ASAP I don’t even care what it’s about 😂 I hope you enjoy her novellas if you pick them up!
