Monthly TBR – March 2022!

Hello! I can’t believe were three months into the year already! February was a slightly quieter reading month than January and I managed to read 7 books. March however, March is just a little mental. I have 10 books to get through this month, and every single one of them sounds amazing. As usual there are a mixture of arc’s. buddy reads, as well as my next 12 friends / 12 months / 12 books pick, and this is one I’m really excited for.

Just look at the cover for Blood Scion! If that doesn’t make you instantly want to read it then I’m sure the fact it’s based around Yoruba-Nigerian mythology and is a story of revenge, injustice and power definitely will. A Far Wilder Magic sounds like it’s going to be filled with romance and plenty of magic & I am here for it. I thought the premise for Comeuppance Served Cold was really quirky and unique & couldn’t pass up requesting it.

Mischief Acts has me really intrigued. I read the first chapters when I got the arc and it’s so different from anything else I have read, but the premise was just too good for me to pass up. I am the biggest Schwab fan so I definitely squealed when an arc of Gallant popped through my letterbox. I can see it being more Addie like with her lush prose and I cannot wait to dive in. I was initially hooked by the cover for The Bone Orchard & then I read the premise and I don’t think I’ve hit request on a book quite so fast. I visited Iceland a few years ago and went horse riding on their unique horses so I couldn’t resist reading All The Horses of Iceland book based around their folklore & how they came to the Island.

Susan and I buddy read Sim’s previous series, so it was an easy decision to buddy read The City of Dusk. I have a physical arc and let me tell you it is a chunk, but one I can’t wait to read. I’ve failed this month with my mega TBR so Leah and I weren’t able to continue or buddy reads of backlist books but when we realised we were both reading Wild and Wicked Things, we jumped at the chance to buddy read it.

I am SO happy The Unlikely Escape of Uriah Heep was one of the books chosen for my 12 month challenge. I’ve had it on my shelf for years now and hopefully this will be the push I need to pick it up. After reading, and loving, the authors Shadow Histories series I have high hopes for this one.

What do your March’s look like reading wise? Have any of the above made your list? Or have you read any of them already? Let me know in the comments!
