WWW Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over on Taking on a World of Words

The idea is pretty simple, every week you dedicate a post to the three W’s:

What are you currently reading?

What have you just finished reading?

What are you going to read next?

Leah and I are currently buddy reading Witches Steeped in Gold. We’re only around 25% through atm but we are both enjoying it. I do think the descriptive writing is a little ott, but I’m enjoying the story and am excited to see where it’s going.

I enjoyed this book a lot more than I was expecting too. I had a few blogger friends of mine say they really didn’t enjoy it and, while I can see it not being for everyone, but I’m a sucker for well developed and written characters and this book had them in spades. I would have like a little more development in the magic system, but the shocker ending ensured that I would be eagerly reaching for book two.

I’m really intrigued and excited for this book. I do love any kind of mythology/foklore in my books, and after travelling to Iceland a few years ago, I’m looking forward to getting a deep dive into Icelandic lore with this book.

    • Thanks! It didn’t quite live up to the massive hype for me, but luckily a few people I knew slated it so I went in with slightly lower expectations and ended up really liking it. I hope you enjoy it if you pick it up 😀

  1. I’ve heard mixed reviews for Witches Steeped in Gold but I plan to read it next month since I got the book in book box. Glad you are enjoying so far & that you liked Atlas Six. I want to read that one too!!
