Susan and I have just started our buddy read of this & I’ve loved returning to this world and the characters that live in it. I’m also going to be picking up one of my BBNYA book, the deadline for feedback is the 10th so I really need to get a shift on with my reading.
I’m really struggling to say why I didn’t love this. I think i expected it to be darker than it was, but I think I might be in the minority when it comes to my thoughts. I enjoyed it as a whole, and will definitely be picking up the second book.
I’m so excited to pick this one up! Historical fantasy, regency romance, magic!!! There’s literally nothing I love more in a book.

I enjoyed it, I just didn’t love it. My full review is going up today but it was really hard to talk about the bits I loved because the majority of them were spoilers 😂

Tbh I think I might be in the minority with Only a Monster, I just didn’t gel with the authors writing style, which took me out of the story a little. SO excited for A Marvellous Light, the cover is amazing 😀
