Hello! Today I’m bringing you a fun post filled with 8 books that, quite literally, transported me to another world whilst reading. I’ve never been a big reader of portal fantasy, but over the last few years I’ve found myself reaching for them more and more. I love how the authors use these new worlds to show the magical against the mundane, take us as readers on the most wondrous of journeys and usually give their characters some high stakes or emotional drama to work through. I loved every single one of these books, even if it’s been years since I read some of them! Do you enjoy reading portal fantasies? Are there any you would add to my list? The Ten Thousand Doors of January

After an exchange goes awry, Kell escapes to Grey London and runs into Delilah Bard, a cut-purse with lofty aspirations. She first robs him, then saves him from a deadly enemy, and finally forces Kell to spirit her to another world for a proper adventure.

Now perilous magic is afoot, and treachery lurks at every turn. To save all of the worlds, they’ll first need to stay alive.
