WWW Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over on Taking on a World of Words

The idea is pretty simple, every week you dedicate a post to the three W’s:

What are you currently reading?

What have you just finished reading?

What are you going to read next?

Susan and I have started our buddy read of Within These Wicked Walls. So far I’m really enjoying it, I ‘m loving the addition of Ethiopian folklore into a story that I love. Andromeda is a really great character and I’m loving her interactions with the other characters so far. It’s definitely on the creepy side, but I’m really intrigued to see where the story will go.

Lynette Noni must realllly like torturing her readers with cliffhanger endings because the end of this book had me swearing like a sailor. She also likes torturing her characters tbh and she certainly but Kiva though an emotional roller coaster in this one. My full review will hopefully be up tomorrow but it’s safe to say I loved this one.

I’ve been seriously lacking in sea/mermaid based fantasy books so am really looking forward to diving (see what I did there!) into this one. Plus it’s inspired by West African mythology so I’m pretty sure I’m gonna love it.

  1. The Prison Healer book covers are so freaking gorgeous! I haven’t got around to reading or purchasing those books yet but every time I see the covers it makes me want to do so immediately 😂 Sounds like a torturously fun time, haha! I’m also keen to pick up Skin of the Sea soon. Hope you enjoy it and happy reading!
