Monthly TBR – October!

Hello! I have a slightly smaller TBR this month (thank god). I didn’t manage to make it through all the books I planned to read last month, so I’m hoping to just add them in to this month. I managed to read 8 books in September, some that really stood out to me, a few sequels I loved and a couple that seriously let me down, but I have high hopes for this months reads. I have the same mix of arc’s, blog tours and buddy reads but a few of these are highly anticipated reads by authors that I love, so I’m hoping they will live up to my expectations. What does your TBR look like for October? Have any of these made your list? Let me know in the comments.

I was lucky enough to receive a physical arc of Skin of the Sea and it is so beautiful! The story sounds really unique and I can’t wait to start it. After the ending of book one I can already The Gilded Cage being an adventure and plot twist filled story and I’m seriously looking forward to carrying on with Kiva’s story. I’m sure it’s no surprise when I say Alix E. Harrow is one of my favourite authors so I hadn’t even read the premise for A Spindle Splintered before adding it to my TBR. It’s received some rave reviews so far and I’m sure I will love it. I haven’t actually read Owen’s previous series, but I have heard rave reviews for it and Little Thieves just sounds exactly like something I would love.

Blog Tours

I signed up for the blog tour for Keeper of the Night so fast. Japanese folklore, a girl destined for death… It honestly sounds amazing and I’m looking forward to diving right into this one. Midnight in Everwood sounds like it will be a fairy tale style story with a twist, which I am loving at the minute, and with that beautiful cover I simply couldn’t resist signing up for the blog tour.

Buddy Reads

I’ve been looking forward to reading Within These Wicked Walls ever since it was announced! An Ethiopian inspired retelling of Jane Eyre sounds right up my street. Luckily Susan feels the same & we will be buddy reading this later in the month. Susan and I will also be buddy reading Vespertine. I adored Sorcery of Thorns and have some high expectations for this one.
