What I’m Currently Reading

I’m around 50% of the way through this and it’s honestly so amazing. It’s such an underrated series, but it has everything I love: a rag tag group of people on a mission to save the world, idiots in love, slow burn romance, enemies to lovers, epic fight scenes, a brilliantly built world and magic system… I mean, what more could you want. Pool, sure knows how to play with her readers emotions, and I’m just hoping and praying all my faves make it out alive!

What I’ve Just Finished Reading

I’ve just finished this and it was ok… the world building and magic system were brilliant and honestly the best part of the book. There was a pretty badly written love triangle, and my favourite character ended up being the MC’s sister. I am glad it was a stand alone because I probably wouldn’t have picked up book two, even if I wanted to know what happened because the characters were that annoying.

What I’m Going to Read Next

Susan and I are going to be buddy reading The Inheritance of Orquidea Divina and I’m really looking forward to starting it. It’s an adult stand-alone from the author of the Hollow Crown series, and it sounds super intriguing. As well as that I will be starting on my mega Sept TBR with Among Thieves, I’ve not heard much about this book but it has a great tag line ‘WHO NEEDS FRIENDS WHEN YOU HAVE AXES?’ so I’m excited to start it.
