What I’m Currently Reading

Susan and I are starting our buddy read of this and I’m definitely enjoying it so far. It’s dark and definitely more gory than I was expecting, but it’s certainly a unique read and I love how it focuses on characters who are way past their primes rather than the strapping, young MC’s I’m used to reading. The first part of the book is quite slow, but we get a great introduction to the characters and world, and I’m excited to see where it goes.

What I’ve Just Finished Reading

I had a bit of free time yesterday so decided to start the latest Jill Mansell book and … finished it on the same day! I just love how lighthearted her stories are, and it was the perfect book to pick up in between some pretty heavy and dark fantasy. Safe to say I loved it, the romance was just *chefs kiss*, slow burn and just beautifully written… any romcom fans seriously need to give her books a try.

What I’m Going to Read Next

Up next I have another buddy read with Susan. This is actually a book she put on my radar and one that I have really high hopes for. It’s a standalone which is always a bonus with the amount of series I still have to finish, and the world sounds like it’s going to be quite unique. Fingers crossed we enjoy it.
