WWW Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over on Taking on a World of Words

The idea is pretty simple, every week you dedicate a post to the three W’s:

What are you currently reading?

What have you just finished reading?

What are you going to read next?

What I’m Currently Reading.

The Beautiful Ones

This is the second occasion that Silvia Moreno-Garcia has taken my out of my comfort zone reading wise, and it just goes to show her talent for writing because I am loving it. A regency style romance filled with first love and first heartbreak, filled with deceptions as well as characters you will love, and those you will love to hate.

What I’ve Just Finished Reading.

The Helm of Midnight

I am absolutely dreading writing my review for this book, there was so much about it I loved, the world, characters and magic system were all brilliantly rendered. However, there were some parts that just felt like they dragged way too much, as well as some random passages that added absolutely nothing to the story and just ended up confusing me. I did enjoy it overall, and will definitely be picking up book two.

What I’m Going to Read Next.

The Ones Were Mean to find

I am so incredibly excited to start this one. I don’t think I’ve read a bad review for it yet and I mean, with a cover like that. how can the story inside be bad!

  1. I’ve been loving the Beautiful Ones! It’s my first Silvia Moreno Garcia book and I’m really enjoying how evocative her writing is. I’ve already added another book by her to my TBR

  2. My reaction was pretty much the same to The Helm of Midnight. Overall, I enjoyed it and am really looking forward to the next book, but I definitely felt it dragged in places. I really need to read The Ones We’re Meant to Find, too. I hope you enjoy it!

    • Yea, I buddy read it with Susan and we both felt the same. I loved The Ones We’re meant to find. It was so different from anything else I had read and packed a proper emotional punch!
