Monthly TBR – April 2021!

I seriously can’t believe how fast this year is going by! I’m loving the fact that the sun is coming out more and more, it’s definitely making my walks more enjoyable & I love just being able to sit outside in the sun and read or listen to music. We’re still in lockdown in the UK, although things are opening up gradually, so my life still consists of work, home, and weekly walks but I just can’t wait until things get back to normal.

I managed to read 10 books in March and I’m hoping to equal that this month… keep your fingers crossed. As usual the books are a mix of buddy reads, blog tours, arc’s, author copies and I’m going to try and sneak a few May arc’s into the mix if I can because my TBR for that month atm is a little ridiculous. What do your April TBR’s look like? Let me know in the comments.

Buddy Reads!

I still can’t believe I haven’t picked up A Vow so Bold and Deadly yet! I loved the previous two books & I just think I didn’t want the series to be over. Luckily I mentioned this to Leah and she felt the same so we decided to buddy read it together. Not sure were emotionally prepared, but at least we’ll be able to scream at each other. Susan actually put A Peculiar Combination on my radar so it was a no brainer to buddy read it. It sounds like it’s going to be a quirky read & I’m excited to start it.

ARC’s!

The Beautiful One’s is the only arc on here that’s an April release and I am SO excited to start it. I’ve been on the hunt for a copy of this for years & was so happy when I found out they were re-printing both this and Certain Dark Things. I’ve heard so many good things about The Ones We’re Meant to Find that I’m super eager to start reading it. It sounds like a mixture between sci-fi and thriller which is right up my street. I hadn’t actually hard of Unwritten before it popped up on Netgalley but as soon as I saw it was a book about books and a girl who must fight a character determined to rule the world… sounds brilliant right?

Blog Tours

I didn’t get to read The Lore of Prometheus for BBNYA last year, but I absolutely jumped at the chance to be part of the blog tour. I’ve heard SO many amazing things about this book and I love the cover. I’m only doing a spotlight/first impressions post for What Beauty There Is, but I can just tell it’s going to be hard to put down after reading a few chapters! I also have a physical arc of this and it is beautiful.

Author Copies!

Ok, so I actually have an arc of Judgement Day the second book in the series but GR doesn’t have a cover up yet so I just used May Day instead. I absolutely loved May Day last year and signed up for an ARC of the second book so fast… bring on more Jack and Killian drama. The author of The Crimson Script emailed asking if I would like a copy for review & I nearly said yes based on the cover alone! High fantasy adventure with relatable characters… yes please. I also got an email from the author of In the Jaded Grove and this one I replied to instantly, I have the authors previous book on my TBR and this portal fantasy sounds right up my street.
