What I’m Currently Reading
Susan and I have just started our second buddy read of the month for The Light of the Midnight Stars. I’m only two chapters in so far but the authors writing style is so lush and lyrical, I have high hopes that I will love it. I’m almost finished with A Court of Silver Flames and am loving it so far! I just love getting Nesta and Cassian’s POV whilst still being able to keep up with the rest of the Night Court. It was a lot smuttier than I anticipated, but I’ve just been flying through the pages.
What I’ve Just Finished Reading
I read these two Novella’s in anticipation of A Master of Djinn out later in the year. The stories focus on different characters but I just loved the steampunk early 1900’s Cairo the author created filled with Djinn and all sorts of mythical creatures. They were really quick and easy reads yet still felt like a ‘whole’ story. We get character progression as well as world building, a rare talent. I’m even more eager to get to the full book now.
What I’m Going to Read Next
The Ladies of the Secret Circus is mine and Susan’s last buddy read for the month. I’ve not really heard much about this one, but I just love the sound of the premise and have really high hopes. I’m also going to be starting on my March Arc’s which I’m already behind on! First up is The Second Bell, I’ve read a few reviews for this recently and it sounds right up my street. Here’s hoping I enjoy it.

I actually started this and had to DNF at around 25%. I think it’s a classic case of it’s me not the book, but I really struggled bonding with the characters and just found myself uninterested in their story 🙈. I hope you enjoy it!

YES! They’re amazing, definitely my favourite of Maas’ series, but fair warning they are very racy & definitely adult over YA 😊
