What I’m Currently Reading
Susan and I are hammering out the buddy reads this month! We have three planned and are starting with These Feathered Flames. I’m around 25% through this one so far and am loving it, steeped in Russian folklore, with some beautiful descriptions and brilliantly written characters, I definitely think we will love this.
What I’ve Just Finished Reading
Woohoo this book was great! I’m so glad I managed to snag an arc because I had heard so little about it before. Filled with Prussian mythology/folklore, with relatable characters and some amazing descriptive writing. It does need to come with some serious trigger warnings though because A LOT happens, and while not all of it is on page, the characters have to deal with the aftermath and it gets very dark. I did love it as a whole and am excited for book two.
What I’m Going to Read Next
I’m not sure which of our buddy reads we will pick up next but I’m excited for both these books. As well as my buddy reads I’m going to try and read a few backlog books as well as novellas off my TBR.
