Monthly TBR – January!

It’s January! That sounds incredibly weird to say because last January seems so much longer than a year ago. I’m still hoping that 2021 will improve for the better, and am lucky enough to be starting off the new year with some exceptional and quirky reads. I have 10 books on my January TBR, but I’m hoping to get through most of these and then be able to start on a few Feb Arc’s I have so wish me luck. What books are on your Jan TBR? Let me know in the comments.

Buddy reads!

Susan and I are back with our buddy reads! We’re starting with The Lost Apothecary which were both on a blog tour for, and then we will hopefully have time for the Gilded Ones because I have been dying to read it.

Blog tours!

I have a TBR and Beyond Tours for Cast in Firelight. I’ve read some early reviews for it and it sounds like a nice and easy read filled with romance. Just look at the cover for The Mask of Mirrors, Orbit have been releasing some amazing books recently and this one sounds brilliant. I hadn’t really heard of This Golden Flame, but when I got the request for the blog tour and read the synopsis I couldn’t pass it up. I’m reading White Trash Warlock for a Write Reads blog tour, Dave has an amazing ability to bring us some great books and this one sounds really quirky.

Arc’s!

I am so incredibly excited to start these! The Library of the Dead sounds like the perfect blend of mystery and fantasy, and one of my favourite authors recommended it so I hit that request button ridiculously fast. The Stranger Times sounds like it will be an incredibly quirky read, with a fun bunch of characters which means I’m almost certain to love it. I’ve read some mixed reviews for The Secrets of the Starcrossed but the positive ones I read do make it sound like I will enjoy it so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Author copies!

I read ‘Odreil’s Heirs’ by Hayley Reese Chow last year and adored it. It was a brilliant, fast paced YA Fantasy filled with adventure, so when she contacted me asking if I would be interested in her latest MG Novel set around parallel worlds and filled with a fresh and intriguing magic system, I couldn’t say no.

  1. Looks like you’ve got some fantastic things planned for January! I’m also on the blog tour for White Trash Warlock, and I already can’t wait for it! It looks like it’s going to be goooood! I’ve got The Mask of Mirrors, too, and I agree that Orbit has been hecka hitting it out of the park lately!
