Friday Favourites!

Happy New Year! I’m keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that 2021 turns out to be a better year than 2020 cause lets be honest… it can’t be much worse. Time to showcase some of my favourite posts from the last week. As always please feel free to take part if you want to.

The Rules:

  1. You have to highlight one review, one booktag/meme & one general bookish style post.
  2. Remember to link back to the creator of the post & include a brief description as to why you have picked this specific post.
  3. Link back to me ( mainly so I can find new awesome blogs to follow.)
  4. Tag 3 people to take part in the post next week :D.

Favourite Review

Joanna @ The Geekish Brunette – E-ARC Review: Glimpsed by G.F. Miller

Have you ever read a review for a book that isn’t something you would normally pick up, but the reviewer convinces you to give it a go? That’s what Joanna did with me for Glimpsed. She makes it sound like a really fun and fast paced rom-com/fantasy and I will definitely be adding it to my TBR.

I wasn’t even sure where the plot would go but when the whole blackmailing started I knew this book would be hard to put down! I love a good enemies-to-lovers and this one didn’t disappoint. It’s also a slow burn and it just did wonders for boosting my mood.

Favourite Meme/Tag Post

Lindsey @ Lindsey Reads – The 2020 End of Year Book Survey

This is one chunky book survey, and a really good look back at the previous year, as well as whats to come in 2021. I love this post because Lindsey gives you a really good insight into why she loved/disliked certain books, and she also talks about the challenges of blogging and highlights some of her top posts of the year.

“I WILL NEVER STOP RAVING ABOUT THIS GORGEOUS, HOPEFUL, RAY-OF-SUNSHINE, SHOT-OF-SEROTONIN, WARM HUG OF A BOOK.

Though seriously, I adored The House in the Cerulean Sea and would highly recommend it to everybody.”

Favourite General Bookish Post

Kal @ Reader Voracious – 2021 Ultimate Book Blogger/Reader Spreadsheet Template

These templates are an absolute godsend for people who want to keep track of their reading month by month, page by page. Kal makes these yearly and I’m always ridiculously excited when they get posted. But it’s not just for tracking your reading, there is a tag for Blog stats as well. For those bloggers/readers who like to be organised and stay on top of that they’ve read this spreadsheet is a must have.

“My book blogging experience drastically changed for the better since I put together a spreadsheet to keep track of all of my ARCs! Now that 2020 is (finally) coming to a close and we all begin looking towards a new year, I’m excited to share the 2021 Spreadsheet Template with you all! “
