What I’m Currently Reading
I hadn’t really heard anything about this book before seeing it on Netgalley but the premise was too intriguing for me to pass up. It’s got some major X-Men vibes going on but has an added depth because we get to see both perspectives: Those of the ‘Gifted’ people and those of ‘regular’ people. I’m only 30% in but enjoying it so far.
What I’ve Just Finished Reading
I enjoyed this. It was an easy read, with likeable characters and a pretty fast paced story line. I was a little disappointed in the ending, I was buddy reading this with Susan and Maddie and we all came up with some (maybe out there) guesses for how it would end, and maybe thats the reason it fell a little flat for me. I will definitely be picking up book 2 though.
What I’m going to Read Next
I haven’t really read any reviews for this one but the premise sounded way too good to pass up. “Awash in the rhythms of folklore and storytelling … Master of Poisons is epic fantasy that will leave you aching for the world it burns into being.” I mean… how could you pass that up!?!

Ah, no, sorry that you didn’t like the ending of Fable! I didn’t like “cliffhanger” quality to it but I really enjoyed the book overall (even if it’s nothing new lol)! If you do pick up the sequel, I hope you like it better 🙂 Happy reading!

It definitely ended on a cliffhanger that makes you want to pick up book 2 asap & I enjoyed it as a whole… just a few bits that fell flat for me.
