Blair’s Questions
How do you keep track of the books you have read?
I mainly use Goodreads at the minute, I honestly don’t know what I would do without it because I am USELESS at remembering books.
How long have you been blogging?
Just over two years now which seems a little crazy! I still feel like such a newbie in the community, but have made some amazing friends in that time.
Do any of your close friends or family read?
They do, but not to the same extent as me or the same genres really. It was actually my Aunty who got me into reading in the first place, but she tends to read a lot of psychology and biographical books.
Is there a genre that you refuse to read?
I try my best to stay away from Erotica, Romance and contemporary fiction. There are a few exceptions to the rule but not many.
How do you decide what to read next?
I used to be a huge mood reader, and still am in some ways. But over the last couple of months I have found myself more and more sticking to a TBR I create. Whether this is in fear of my ever growing ARC TBR? I’m unsure, but there are still times when I have to pick a mood read to break it up.
Have you ever found yourself in a reading slump? If so how did you pull yourself out?
Oh god all the time! My safest bet is to pick up a favourite and quick read, one that I know will not let me down. I have a couple go to picks; Uprooted and Rebel of the Sands. But sometimes I just need a few days of not reading, i’ll binge watch a TV show and then I find it easier to pick something up.
Is there one book you wish more people knew about?
Errrm maybe Below by Alexandria Warwick. I adored it when I read it last year, and have an ARC of the next book ‘Night’ which I am dying to pick up. Below is set in a frozen Inuit world, filled with face stealing demons and a strong and unbending heroine.
Are you in a book club?
No. Although Susan at Novel Lives and I have been doing a ridiculous amount of Buddy Reads recently, so if two can count as a book club? The yes.
Other than reading what else do you love to do?
I enjoy binge watching TV shows and chilling out an listening to music. Other than that I love spending time with friends and family, something I haven’t been able to do recently. and going on long walks.
Do you have any party tricks/ odd talents?
I’m ridiculously good at remembering song lyrics and movie lines… other than that i’m exceptionally normal!
Where in the world would you love to go?
I’ve been lucky enough to travel quite a bit in my life so far but one place I have always wanted to go is Africa. Elephants are my favourite animal and I spent a week at an Elephant sanctuary in Thailand 5 years ago, but seeing African elephants… in fact all the Big 5 in the wild has always been a dream of mine.
I wont tag anyone specifically because I feel like I have tagged people in a lot recently so instead, and because I love Blair’s questions, I’m opening this one up to anyone who wants to take part! Just be sure to tag me so I can read your anwers.

Great answers, Becky! It is interesting that you still feel quite new in the community, but I agree we have made a lot of wonderful friends.

Thanks Stephen! I think it’s just cause I’m quite shy and it takes me a while to open up… plus there are people who have been around for years! So definitely a bit of a newbie 😂

Yes I can relate ☺ It took me a long time to feel confident about my blog and sharing things about myself. I adore your blog though, it’s such a cheerful place!

YES! Love them… I don’t have a tattoo yet, but being able to work at an Elephant sanctuary for a week is something I don’t think I will ever forget ☺️
