It’s Buddy Read time again! When Susan and I both realised this was an ARC we had in common it kind of seemed inevitable. This one does sound really good though and have read some raving reviews so we’re looking forward too it.
What I’ve just finished reading
I enjoyed this as a whole, but I do think it fell flat in parts. My review will be going up on Sunday so you can read my full thoughts there, but if you like kick ass heroines, swoon worthy romance and a intriguing magic system you should definitely give this one a go.
What I’m going to read next
I have been dying to dig into this one for ages now, and I will be reading it as the same time as my buddy read. I love both authors and the synopsis for this one had me hooked from the get go!

I was really curious about A Wicked Magic, but I ended up not going after an ARC because … well, time. So I’ll be living vicariously through your thoughts on it. xD Bummer that Shielded fell a bit flat for you. I’ve got a blog tour for it coming up, and I’m looking forward to picking it up. At least it sounds like it got the things I was interested in it for right (namely, kick-ass heroines and magic, of course).

I was the same tbh but then Susan said she had it so we decided to buddy read! I’ve read some positive reviews though so I’m looking forward to it.
I hope you enjoy Shielded, I really liked it as a whole and if you love magic and kick ass heroines then you’re sure to like it 😊

Enjoy! I can’t wait to read your thoughts on seven devils in particular! I received that one in my illumicrate a few months back, & have been a little hesitant to read it (don’t want to risk not liking it and ending up in a reading slump lol I am occasionally, okay a good portion of the time, a very, VERY, moody MOOD READER!). Everything you’re reading sounds like perfection! *chefs kiss* 👌🏻
