I’ve fallen into a Brooklyn 99 spiral and so my reading has slowed down recently. Luckily though I’ve just started a buddy read with Susan over at Novel Lives. Hopefully this can get me out of my slump because I have around 3 blog tours in June and really need to start reading the books! What are you all reading atm?
What are you currently reading?
It’s finally happening. Susan and I have just started our first ever buddy read. We are both a bit wary about this one having read some mixed reviews. Were only reading part one so far but im definitely intrigued enough to keep going.
What have you just finished reading?
This book was a wild ride. I found it a little slow to start off with but once I got into it I flew through the pages. I loved it all, the characters and the magic system which was awesome and really fresh. I’m really glad this is the one I chose to read from my Netgalley backlog.
What are you going to read next?
I have read some raving reviews for this one and the premise certainly sounds intriguing. A teenage queen and a spymaster who end up falling in love, plus political intrigue… count me in.
Wow so I wanted all 3 of these books. I read A Court of Miracles and I gave it 4 stars. Read it really fast and I liked it a lot. Steel Crow Saga is one I have and havent read and Queen of Coin and Whispers I tried to get months ago but they were still working on international rights back then. I should really read Steel Crow Saga bc everyone whose read it raves about it

Yeah everyone says that Steel Crow Saga has a cool magic system. I thought Court of Miracles was really cool but I do kinda wish it was longer.

I just didnt like the cover so I was skeptical about it but everyone says it’s good so I should give it a try

I’ll be starting Court of Miracles myself soon and yeah those mixed reviews are a worry. Happy you’ve gotten off to a good start with it!

I just finished Steel and Crow as well and loved it too! I read Queen of Coin and Whispers a month ago and really enjoyed it, hope you do too 💕

I’m reading Steel Crow Saga at the moment, also found it was a bit of a slow start but I’m still really liking it! And I can’t wait for Queen of Coin and Whispers, it sounds incredible.
