WWW Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over on Taking on a World of Words.

The idea is pretty simple, every week you dedicate a post to the three W’s:

What are you currently reading?

What have you just finished reading?

What are you going to read next?

I have 13 blog posts scheduled, am 11 books ahead on my yearly reading challenge and have knocked 8 books off my Netgalley backlog… I don’t know who this person is but apparently not being able to leave the house except to go to work has made me crazy efficient. Quarantine may suck, and I’m missing family and friends I feel like I haven’t seen in an age, but my reading game in apparently at its peak, so things could be worse. How are you finding reading during lockdown? I know some people have been struggling, but it’s the only thing I’m enjoying atm.

What are you currently reading?

I started reading this last night and only got through one chapter before I realised this isn’t a ‘read before bed’ kind of book, not for me anyway. It seems like it will be an easy, if not fear inducing read, and I’m liking the authors writing style so far but yea… i’m gonna have to stick with the daylight hours with this one

What have you just finished reading?

I knew practically nothing about this book before going in, the synopsis doesn’t really give much away; A Dragon? A Girl? A Prophecy? But the book itself was masterfully written, I literally read it in a day, all 384 pages. I loved everything, the characters, the setting, the descriptive writing. I haven’t read anything by Ness before but I will be searching out his other works now.

What are you going to read next?

Seeing as I’m 11 books ahead of schedule on my goodreads reading challenge, and I’ve read like 8 books from my Netgalley backlog I’m going to treat myself. I’ve had the ARC of this for months and have been patiently waiting for the right time to read it. I loved Gilded Wolves and am beyond excited to dive back into this magical world.
