BBNYA Panellist Reveal – Hina @ Lair of a Wordsmith

Hello again! It’s time for another panellist reveal & today’s panellist is Hina from Lair of a Wordsmith and Hina Loves to Read. Hina’s blog is full of amazing reviews, as well as fanfiction, some of her favourites and her own short stories. Be sure to go and give her blog some love.

Tell me a little about you

Hi I’m Hina! A Corporate Banker by profession, I have always loved to read. I read across all genres, however I prefer reading Romance, Fantasy, Thriller, History, Biographies, and Crime Fiction.

When did you start blogging and what made you decide to start your blog

I started blogging on the 31st of December 2010. To begin with, the reason of starting a blog was to bring my writing to the world at large. I loved the idea of people reading what I write. I then branched out to writing book reviews and talking about books in general.

Do you have any fun bookish memories?

I don’t know if calling it fun is the right thing but I loved the fact that back in my school days when the standard was to issue one book per student for a week, I was the only one in the school with an exception. I was allowed two a week.

Name a few of your favourites: Books/ Authors/ Characters/ Movies/ TV Shows etc.

Some of my favourite books are: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, Paradise by Judith McNaught, The Firm by John Grisham, Absolute Power by David Baldacci, The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown, The Pelican Brief by John Grisham, Angels and Demons by Dan Brown.

One of my favourite literary characters is Hermoine Granger from Harry Potter, I see a lot of myself reflected in her.

Where did you first hear about BBNYA and what made you decide to join?

I first heard about this from Esmee, she gave me all the information, and I couldn’t resist signing up. I hadn’t read many Indie/self published books before, so I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to branch out and find some new favourite reads.

Where you can find me.
