BBNYA Panellist Reveal – Danni @ ForBooksSake

Hi guys! It’s that time of the week again. I have another awesome BBNYA panellist to spotlight, and today it’s Danni from ForBooksSake. Danni posts some awesome bookish content & tags me in all kinds of awesome book tags! She also runs an Etsy shop where she sells some pretty awesome looking bookmarks. Make sure to go and give her blog some love.

Tell Me A Bit About You

My name is Danni, I am 23 (24 if this is posted after the 26th March, haha), and I am from Ipswich, which is in the East of England, and I have a 2 year old daughter. Art and books are my main passions in life, and you will always find me with either my head in a book, or drawing.

When Did You Start Blogging and Why?

I started blogging in April 2019, and it is the best decision I ever made. I started blogging because I enjoy talking about books, and sharing my views on what I am reading. I also love the book community, and wanted to be more of a part of it than just twitter and bookstagram.

Do you have any fun bookish memories?

My favourite bookish memory is probably of my mum reading the Harry Potter series to me as a child, when the books were first released. It is one of the main things that really got me in to reading properly, and a memory that I will treasure forever.

What are some of your favourite books/tv-shows/movies etc

Favourite books: The Rats – James Herbert, The Harry Potter series – J.K. Rowling, Twisted – Steve Cavanagh
Favourite authors: Steve Cavanagh, James Herbert, Stephen King
Favourite characters: Bellatrix Lestrange (Harry Potter), Lorcan Furey (Vampirates), Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter)
Favourite movies: Harry Potter (obviously), Green StreetThe Krays
Favourite TV shows: Gilmore Girls, Sons of Anarchy, FRIENDS

Where Did You First Hear About BBNYA & What Made You Decide To Join

I first heard about BBNYA through twitter (probably through Dave @ The Write Reads), and I decided to join because I wanted to be part of such an amazing thing in the book community, and I know it is going to be a lot of fun.

Favourite Indie/Self-Published Books

From Inside the House by WD Jackson-Smart, published by Panther Publishing. This book was absolutely incredible. I read and reviewed it for a blog tour, despite not reading the first book in the series, and I loved it so much that I then bought everything else the author has written. It was everything you could ask for from a crime thriller. Haverscroft by S.A. Harris, published by Salt Publishing. This book was excellently written, and was totally chilling. A very traditional ghost story, which I loved.
