This weeks Top 5 Saturday is all about books featuring Pirates, and one thing I’ve learnt is I need to read more of them! I’ve had to wing a couple of these, some of them not traditional pirate books, and I’ve included a couple of books I haven’t got round to reading, but these all include Pirates in some way or another. I’m definitely excited to read everyone else’s posts so I can get some recommendations. Have you read any books that include Pirates? Let me know in the comments.

A Conjuring of Light
Delila Bard and Alucard Emory… two of my favourite pirates. This isn’t a ‘pirate’ book but these two have some excellent seafaring adventures. Lila bard has farrr too many skills but she wants to see the world, and joining a pirate crew is her best chance at that. Add in the Kell and Lila literally rocking the boat scene… and I am here for the pirates in this book.
Siege and Storm
Sturmhond, possibly the sassiest and richest Pirate of them all. I won’t give away too much because… spoilers but I just love his character arc throughout this series. Definitely a favourite character of mine and a nifty pirate to boot.
The Disasters
Ok, so I haven’t read this one yet but I have been reliably informed that it contains SPACE PIRATES! I mean how cool is that. I’m currently reading the authors second book and if it’s anything to go by I will be picking this one up asap.
Peter Pan
Smeeeee. Captain Hook is possibly one of the most famous pirates ever. I love the disney film, I love Hook the movie and when I was at University I picked up the original novel and was thrown for a loop. All was not as it seemed, and Hook wasn’t really the bad guy? Disney had lied to me? Again? I was slightly creeped out by how dark this book actually was, but I loved it all the same.
Dark Shores
This is another one I haven’t got round to yet. Sorry Susan! Meddlesome Gods and treacherous oceans? This sounds right up my street. Add in a dark quest and two characters that form an unlikely alliance. I know where this is heading and I am here for it.
So thats my Top 5 Pirate books. Would any of these make your list? Or do you have a favourite I haven’t mentioned? Let me know in the comments.
