We’ve all been there right! There are soooo many amazing authors out there, and we always intend to get round to reading books by them all and then some just… fall through the cracks. Recently I’ve found myself focusing more and more on female writers so the majority of this post will be focused on men (sorry guys). These are not only authors, but series I have been meaning to pick up for far too long, and I’m almost ashamed to say I haven’t read a book by them yet. Who is one author you keep meaning to pick up? Let me know in the comments.
This was last weeks topic, but I had a blog tour scheduled for then and realllly wanted to do this so I cheated and used it this week instead!

The Fifth Season has been on my TBR for so long i’m slightly ashamed. but it’s one of those books that I have heard so many good things about I’m afraid it wont live up to the hype. It is a series I definitely intend to pick up sooner rather than later, especially since I’ve heard its been optioned for a TV series.
Deadly assassins of the female variety?? I’m totally here for it, and that’s why Red Sister has been on my TBR for ages. There are other Lawrence series that I fancy but this one just sounds right up my street and I hope to pick it up sooner rather than later.
I’m a bit annoyed at myself because I wanted to read this before the series was released… that’s not going to happen. Even though I will watch the series because Henry Cavill *swoon* I’m still going to read the books.
So many people have recommended the Wheel of Time series, and I have to say that it definitely interests me. Add in that Amazon are making it into a TV series and I need to start it ASAP… don’t worry I realise I wont finish it in time.
I’ve had Caravan’s Black Magician series on my TBR for a while now, and though I haven’t read/seen many reviews it definitely sounds like something that would interest me. Add in that I already own the books and I should pick this up soon.
So there are my 5! Have you read any of these and can recommend them? Or are any of these on your yet to read list? Let me know in the comments.
