October Book Haul!

Hi guys! I don’t normally do these posts but I had a pretty good book haul in October so I thought I would share it with you all. I think my favourite purchase of the month is the Grim Oak Press version of one of my all time favourite books, honestly its gorgeous. And I managed to snag a couple of 2020 ARCS I cant wait to start! What books did you buy/get in October? Let me know in the comments.

FC’s

Uprooted Grim Oak Press

How gorgeous is this edition! I had to just flip through the pages when it first arrived and check out all the beautifully drawn artwork. I have 4 versions of Uprooted but I think this may be my favourite.

Ninth House

Ahh! Just look at the gorgeousness of this naked hardback, and this is the regular Waterstones edition. I’ve just finished Ninth House and it blew me away. I didn’t expect to get as invested in the characters as I did but I should have known better with a Leigh Bardugo book.

Darkdawn

This was probably my most anticipated book of the year. I was both eager and nervous to pick up the final volume in what has become one of my favourite fantasy trilogies. You can read my full review here, but I can definitely say it did not disappoint.

Capturing the Devil

I cannot wait to get the chance to start the last in the Stalking Jack the Ripper series, but I also don’t want Audrey-Rose and Thomas’ stories to be over. These are fantastically written books full or romance, mystery and gore.

The Silence of the girls

I actually heard of this via Samantha Shannon’s Instagram and just knew I had to grab a copy. There are some fantastic feminist stories being released/written at the minute and this one, set in Ancient Greece, sounds right up my street.

ARC’s

Bone Criers Moon

Ahhhh! I was so happy to get my hands on a copy of this. One of my most anticipated 2020 releases, and just look at that cover drawn by the wonderful Charlie Bowater. It might be next month before I get the chance to pick this one up but I cannot wait.

The Queens Assassin

Another 2020 release I have been eagerly anticipating. I haven’t read any of the authors other works but this one sounds too good to pass up.

There will come a Darkness

I’ve been DYING to read this after hearing some amazing reviews, and a very good friend of mine on twitter managed to snag me a copy. I’m so excited to finally have the chance to dive into this story that I am sure I will love.

Ok! So that’s my October haul. Have you read any of these? Let me know your thoughts – link to reviews in the comments.
