Ok! So I might have to cheat this week… just a little bit. I am THE BIGGEST wimp. Literally, I don’t watch scary films or read books that I know might even remotely freak me out, so this weeks scheduled ‘scariest book covers’ would have consisted me and google search. Instead I’ve decided to change it up just a little and choose the creepiest covers of books that I own/on my TBR. Whats the creepiest/scariest cover of a book you have read? Let me know in the comments.

This idea was originally created by Mandy @Devouring Books and you should definitely go and give her blog some love!
We need to talk about Kevin – Lionel Shriver
I don’t do creepy, and I especially don’t do creepy kids! *Shivers* kids have a way of well and truly freaking me out, and the kid in this book is just wrong. I really enjoyed the book and the look into the mind of a truly disturbed child. I’m just saying that it made me look at my cousin in a whole different light!
Jaws – Peter Benchley
I love this film! And the cover gets the terror and anticipation the film makes you feel completely. Maybe not creepy but my heart certainly skips a beat every time I see that image.
The Extinction Trials – S.M. Wilson
Whats behind the ferns? Why can we only see a bit of her face and what’s wrong with her eyes? This cover gave me major creeps when I first saw it, but I was intrigued enough by the premise to move past it.
Red Sister – Mark Lawrence
I mean what is she drenched in? Looking at the synopsis, probably blood! This is a book I have been meaning to pick up for ages… The cover definitely gives me the creeps though.
So that’s my top creepiest book covers. I couldn’t find 5 because as stated I am a wimp and have literally no scary books on my shelves/TBR. Do you agree with my choices? Do you think I’m the biggest wimp ever 😂? Let me know in the comments.

I don’t *think* you are a wimp. Have you read the girl with all the Gifts (I can’t recall). I mean I can read horror…. but go google (actually don’t… I did it and that’s enough) scariest book covers.
I didn’t sleep well last night. Lol

I made that mistake when I was debating what to do for this post… didn’t last long🙈
