I like big books and I cannot lie! Top 5 Saturday

I’m having SUCH a good time on holiday! I really don’t want to have to come home tomorrow & then work on Monday… reality sucks. Though it’s been a bit rainy (typical Scottish weather) I have had so much fun chilling out and wandering around the Lochs.

This weeks Top 5 Saturday is all about books over 500 pages… and I have too many to count. I really didn’t realise how many huge books I had read. What’s the biggest book you have read? Let me know in the comments!

This idea was originally created by Mandy @Devouring Books big thanks to Mandy for hosting and introducing me to so many other book bloggers and this tag! Please see the September prompts below.

The Priory of The Orange Tree – 848 pages

This book was truly epic! I was put off for a while by the sheer size of it, but I shouldn’t have worried. Shannon’s effortless writing style has you flying through the pages, she almost makes you wish is was longer, just so you can spend a little more time in the magical world she creates. I would pick up anything else she wrote in this ‘universe’ despite the size.

Kingdom of Ash – 984 pages

I flew through this book, hardly realising the nearly 1,000 pages. I needed to make sure that all my favourite characters survived, and let me tell you this book took me on a rigmarole of emotions. A perfect ending to a favourite series of mine.

Kingdom of Copper – 619 pages

If you guys haven’t picked up this series already what are you waiting for? I LOVE learning about other cultures mythology/folklore & Chakraborty had me sooo fully immersed in the ancient tales of Djinn etc. Magical and full to the brim with adventure and romance. You all need to read this now!

A Conjuring of Light – 624 pages

The ending to possibly my favourite series ever! I have Schwab and this series to thank for my deep deep love of all things fantasy. Lila Bard is my all time favourite literary female, and she has dialogue that others should die for. Add in a whole other bunch of cinnamon roll characters that I would die for, and these nearly 700 pages flew by.

Tyrants Throne – 608 pages

God this book nearly destroyed me! Talk about an emotional ending. Castell manages to make you care far too much about his rag tag bunch of Greatcoats and Aline, the heir they were sworn to protect. This who series is amazing and I take every chance to throw it at people saying “red this! You will love it.” And i mean it… read this, you will love it!

Whew! That was ridiculously hard to narrow down. There are waaaay more amazing books with over 500 pages, but these are my top pics. Some others that deserved an honourable mention are; A Court of Wings & Ruin, Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire, Queen of Air & Darkness & Game of Thrones.
