What? It’s June already! Where has this year gone? Seriously though, you all have to agree with me that this year is simply flying by. In honour of my freaking out I’ve decided to take part in this book tag I found over at beebooksadventures. BTW you should definitely check her blog out because she posts some awesome content.
Best book you’ve read so far in 2019?
Ahhh! I can only pick one? No fair… Ill have to pick Priory of the Orange Tree because Samantha Shannon knocked it out of the park. The book is simply epic, and you soon forget about the nearly 900 pages when you get swept away by the story.
Best Sequel of 2019 so far?
The Winter of the Witch! Hands down, I couldn’t get enough of this trilogy and the only downside for me is that its finished.
New release you haven’t read yet but want to?
The Gilded Wolves. I’ve heard soo many rave reviews about this one, and I need to pick it up ASAP.
Most anticipated release of the second half of 2019?
Again I can only pick one??? It’s going to have to be Darkdawn, I cant wait to read the ending to Mia’s story.
Ummm. I don’t think I’ve had one. I’ve enjoyed all the books I’ve read this year so far.
Once Upon a River. I mean, I expected to like it but not as much as I did.
Favourite new author (Debut or new to you)?
Nicki Pau Preto… Crown of Feather’s was awesome, and If I hadn’t have known I would never have guessed it was a debut.
Newest fictional crush?
Nathanial Thorn from Sorcery of Thorns… that man is simply put, swoon worthy.
Newest favourite character?
I fell in love with both Casiopea (Gods of Jade and Shadow) and Elisabeth (Sorcery of Thorns). Both strong and slightly kick ass female characters.
Book that made you cry?
Aurora Rising had me blubbering by the end!
Book that made you happy?
King of Scars… I loved getting the chance to read more of my little cinnamon roll Nikolai.
Favourite book to movie adaptation you saw this year?
Errm. I loved the Netflix adaptations of To all the boys I loved before and Dumplin… even if I haven’t read the books yet.
Favourite review you’ve written this year?
Oooh that’s a hard one… maybe my Aurora Rising review.
Most beautiful book you’ve bought this year?
This one was bought as a gift, but the Dollmaker of Krakow! The cover is gorgeous and the artwork continues throughout the book.
What books do you need to read by the end of the year?
Is this a trick question? I mean all of them… I’m not one for TBR’s, mainly because I’m the worst at sticking to them but off the top of my head; Spin the Dawn, Ninth House, Starsight, Supernova, Darkdawn, Kingdom of Souls…. and so many more.
That was a pretty fun tag to do! So as always please feel free to take part if you want to.( Just make sure you tag me so I can read all your answers!)
