First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?
- Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
- Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
- Finally… reveal the book!
Ahhh! I’ve had another slow reading week 🙈. Although I did have a massive migraine attack yesterday so I’m letting myself off. The book I’ve chosen for this FLF is a recent read of mine but one that I absolutely adored. How have all your reading weeks been? Let me know in the comments.
The stranger came out of the sea like a water-ghost, barefoot and wearing the scars of his journey.
Sounds good right? Are you ready to find out what this awesome book is?

This book is amazing! Have you read it already? Let me know your thoughts, and if you haven’t, seriously… what are you waiting for?? If you want to hear more about why you should seriously read this book you can find my review for it here.
