Wow. March felt like a bit of a slog for me! I felt like I went through a bit of a reading slump, but I’ve just checked Goodread’s and I read 6 books so I’m happy with that. I managed to get a couple of books checked off my Netgalley backlog, and also read a book for a blog tour I’m taking part of hosted by The Write Reads on twitter. I, however, completely failed to read any books in my Beating the Backlist reading challenge, and so will have to add those to my TBR for April.
This month I did something completely new to me, and went to a blogging event hosted by Gollancz publishers. They were talking about some of their upcoming releases for the year, and had some already published books up for grabs. This was a super fun event, the guys were all fan-girling over the books due out and some of them sound amazing, so keep you eyes out for what they’ll be releasing. There was Vodka tasting and Pizza and I got to meet Ben Aaronovitch, who is a favourite author of mine. All in all it was a positive experience, and something I would definitely be interested in taking part in again.
How have all you March’s been? Let me know in the comments!
Here’s a list of all the book’s I read and received/bought in March.
I think my favourite read this month was Once Upon a River. I really did not expect to like this book as much as I did. It had so many twists and turns I couldn’t put it down, and you can find my full review for it here.
