The Ten Most Recent Additions to My To-Read List – Top Ten Tuesday

Hello fellow bookworms! I’ve decided to take part in Top Ten Tuesday this yeaR, run by Jana over on That Artsy Reader Girl. You should definitely go and check out her blog because its so good. This weeks post is all about the most recent additions to your TBR. As you might have seen my TBR has gotten a little out of control over the past year or so, so you might think I would have put myself on a book buying ban… Well you would be wrong!

There are too many amazing books due out this year, and so many from previous years that I’m looking forward to reading, I couldn’t possibly not buy books. Im just hoping that by taking part in Beating the Backlist reading challenge, that I’ll at least make a dent into my TBR, whilst also buying new books.

I cant guarantee that I’ll post every week, but I’m hoping to take part in as many of these as I can. What are some of the most recent additions to your shelves? Let me know in the comments.

Circle of Shadows by Evelyn Skye – This came in my January Fairyloot box, but I’ve been after this book for a while. The premise just sounds so interesting, and I was so glad when they included it!

Once Upon A River by Diane Setterfield – This book just sounded so interesting, that when I got offered the chance to get an ARC on Netgalley, I couldn’t resist. I’ve not read any of her previous books but I have high hopes for this one.

The Bird and the Blade by Megan Bannen – This was recommended to me by a friend, and with a slave who falls for a prince, I feel like this may be the book for me.

His Majesty’s Dragon by Naomi Novik – I adored Uprooted and Spinning Silver, so when I saw this for 90p in a charity shop I just couldn’t resist. I cant wait to dive into this Napoleonic series… and it has dragons!

The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi – Paris is one of my favourite cities in the world and when I found out this book was set here, and it was about a heist I was sold

The Descendant of the Crane by Joan He – I’m really into Asian inspired fantasy at the minute, and this one is heralded to be one of the top reads of 2019, so I jumped at the chance to get an ARC of it.

Blood Heir by Amelie Wen Zhao – A princess on the run, an handsome crime lord that helps her… I can see where this is going and I am there for it. This was another ARC I managed to nab of Netgalley, and I cant wait to read it.

A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer – I got an ARC of this last year through Netgalley and I was hooked. This was one of my top reads of 2018, and when I saw the shiny paperback version at Waterstone’s I had to get my hands on it.

The Binding by Bridget Collins – This is the only ARC I’ve ever been accepted for on Edelweiss+, and if its the only one I’m ever accepted for I’ll be happy. This is a beautifully written book, and is one of the most gorgeous hardback’s around atm. I loved it that much that I bought two copies.

Fire and Heist by Sarah Beth Durst – This was the December Fairyloot book, and I’ll admit to not hearing much about it before I received the box. However, the story sounds intriguing and it has dragons… so I’m sold.
