Ok! So for this challenge you have to make a post a week focusing on one letter at a time. You include your favourite reads starting with the letter and highly anticipated books on your TBR. This week I will be doing the letter R.
Books I’ve Read
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
This was one of the first books to tempt me towards Sci-Fi and after this I was hooked! Its such a fun read, with a really interesting main character. If you’re a bit of a geek ,like me, there are loads of Easter Eggs included in this book which make for a entertaining read. A definite book to add to your TBR if it isn’t there already
Rebel of the Sandy by Alwyn Hamilton
I love this series! Amani and Jin and my OTP. Such a beautifully and lyrically written Middle Eastern Fantasy, add in a slight hint of the wild west and Hamilton takes you on the ride of your life. These books literally had me on the edge of my seat whilst reading them, a fantastic bunch of characters and a truly evil Antagonist. I would pick up anything else this author writes.
This was such an interesting and fresh read I was hooked from the get go. Mare, Cal and Maven are a fantastic bunch of characters. All so different and yet each flawed in their own way. One thing I enjoyed about this was the well written and not overly dramatic Love triangle. A must read for any fantasy fans.
I loved Meyer’s Lunar Chronicles and so I had high expectations for this book, and it met every single one. This is one of those books that gets you so sucked in that by the end you’re unsure who the good guys or bad guys are. And that ending… I already have Archenemies on my shelf and cannot wait to dig in.
I’ve probably mentioned this before but Jill Mansell is the only romance author whose books I’ll read. They’re witty, hilarious, heartbreaking and are essentially a really good rom-com in a book. This book is one of my all time favourites and I remember laughing out loud the first time I read it. As a plus size woman I love that the majority of Jill’s female characters are also plus sized, which really helps me get into the books. If you’re looking for an easy but thoroughly entertaining read then this is the book / Author for you.
