Hello fellow bookworms! We’ve all been there right? you heard really good reviews about a book so you had to buy it and days, months sometimes years later they’re still sitting unread on your bookshelf! I always have the best of intentions to read them but then other books come out and I get distracted! What is the book you’ve had on your shelf for the longest?
I think I received this from a trade and I really want to get round to reading this because the premise sounds so interesting. Concealed powers, rebels and a good romance arc what more could a girl want?
I love a good science fiction novel and this came highly recommended to me by a friend. I’m definitely feeling the pressure to read this now that the sequel is coming out!
Tess of the Road Rachel Hartman
Dragons! This book has dragons, and if that wasn’t a good enough reason for me to buy it, I’d read and loves Hartmans Seraphina, so I was sure to love this one as well.
Kiss of Deception by Mary E Pearson
After hearing rave review after rave review about the remnant chronicles I went out and bought all three books at once. This is a series i’m dying to read but just haven’t had the chance to dig into it yet.
I know I know … I’m late to the party on this one. I loved Schwab’s ADSOM series but struggled to get into her monsters of verity series. It didn’t put me off buying Vicious but I think it may be the reason its still on my TBR shelf.
Station Eleven by Emily St John Mandel
This was another book I was recommended by a friend, she really struggled to describe it to me, she just told me it was a book I had to read and so I bought it.
Mindhunter by John Douglas and Mark Olshaker
I was so gripped by the netflix series of this book and have read other books by Douglas so this was an easy buy for me. Its a book I definitely intend on reading, I love books about profiling and dark gritty true crime.
Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman
I bought this after I’d heard they were making it into a TV series and wanted to read the book before it aired. That’s still my intention but I’ll need to get a move on!
Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero
Scooby Doo for adults! Even if I hadn’t read The Supernatural Enhancements I still would have picked this up based on that alone.
This is another series where I bought all the books in one go. It was described as Hunger Games for adults, and the premise seemed so interesting that they were an easy buy.
